We apologize but this event has been cancelled. Presented by Debra L. Kaplan, MBA, MA, LPC, CMAT, CSAT-S. Issues involving money and sex are an inescapable presence in life and become particularly complex when introduced into relationship.
While tensions concerning sex may take center stage in our lives, studies repeatedly indicate that disagreements about money are by far and away the greatest stressor on a relationship and the strongest predictor for divorce. Join us for this 2.5 hour experiential and didactic presentation “sample” to learn what concrete materials and topics your clients will experience in the For Love and Money intensives.* While presented as a “sample,” this workshop covers substantial content that therapeutically connects the dots of sex, money and power in relationships. The goal is to provide clinicians with an “experiential” understanding of the often hidden dynamics of power in intimate relationships.
* This workshop is geared toward the clinician who wishes to strengthen an understanding and advance the skillset to successfully manage clients’ struggles related to money and work.
- Describe attachment dynamics in the Family-Of-Origin and adult romantic relationships.
- List and understand the convergence of monetized rage and sexualized anger.
- Explore and discuss the dynamics of relational currency.
